It’s falling glitter from the sky! I want more more more! My dog is healthy and happy, which also makes me smile. He keeps me company and is good at it. Also, I helped my 76-year-old neighbor get on the internet today, and she’s learning fast. In return, she let me borrow one of her little Christmas trees. It even lights up!

When I was a kid, my teachers told me I could be anything I wanted to be and do anything I wanted to do. Like most everyone else, I believed them. I shot as high as I could, because I wanted to do so much. I’m a dreamer, and I wanted to live those dreams.
Years later, I went to college, where I was told I had to pick one thing out of a set of pre-defined “talents.” Anyone who had told me I could be or do anything had lied, because no one ever got to live those dreams. Still, though, I believed my elementary school teachers … and stuck out like a sore thumb.
I’m older and wiser now, but I still fight for the right to live my dreams … and today, someone else took notice. Rather than taking a job I’ll complain about and “settle” for something I don’t want, I was offered a shot at my dream job today. Yes, starting this week I will be living the dream I’ve been told for so long will never happen. I’m grinning from ear to ear because, well, I DID IT!

Playing with my puppy. She always interrupts me just when I’m starting to get stressed out at work and puts a smile on my face. Just today, she knew I needed a break. She carried one of her toys to my desk, dropped it at my feet, barked at me, and then ran out of the room. It was like she was saying, “OK, here’s a toy, now come out and play with me and stop worrying about work!” I love my puppy!
